As in my previous tutorial, I’ll continue exploring the 3D tools in Photoshop CS6 Extended, this time going a bit deeper to create refractions, reflections and more complex effects. While Photoshop can’t be used to create 3D models from scratch like other dedicated software – such as Maya or Cinema 4D – we can use its 3D tools to create some really interesting 3D scenes, and I’ll walk through that process here.

How to create funny swirls in Illustrator

This is an Illustrator tutorial that explains how to create decorative swirls that can be easily integrated in your works. The creative process is easy to follow and the result is a vivid, outstanding image.

Illustrator is not one of my favourite tool (I have to admit!) but sometimes it’s indispensable, for example to create a logo or a web mascotte. There are some interesting effects, like the one shown in this tutorial, that can be more easily achieved with a vector approach.

The new promotional images for Photoshop CS6 are really amazing, they were created by Alberto Seveso, an incredible digital artist from Italy. Seveso has been pushing the limits of creativity and the use of Photoshop for a long time and we are great admirer of his work. Intrigued with artworks we decided to create something inspired by his work.

It's amazing to see that such amazing images are most of the times done by simple techniques. This tutorial will show you how to achieve similar effect using Photoshop with Masks and Layer Effects. It's an intermediate tutorial but I am sure you will have so much fun doing as we did.
